Special Session 8
PLASMA PROCESSING AND TREATMENT OF MATERIALS (SS8)
The field of plasmas has made extraordinary progress since its conception, with applications in the realms of physics, chemistry, engineering, medicine and others.
Thus, plasma becomes a multidisciplinary topic, requiring in-depth studies such as:
- Deposition of thin films;
- Material removal by plasma;
- Surface modifications by plasma;
- Plasma polymerization;
- Plasma-treated ceramics and glasses;
- Low-pressure plasma-induced nitriding;
- Plasma immersion ion implantation;
- Plasma in medicine and biomaterials;
- Plasma spray coating;
- Plasma Electrolytic Oxidation (PEO).
